Lungs and Limbs Cut Through the Static in New Music Video

Posted by: on Aug 25, 2017 | Comments (0)

Electro-pop stars and North Bay natives Lungs and Limbs have made their name with ’80s-inspired synthwave and alternative guitar rock mashups that hook the listener with addictive riffs and memorable melodies. The band is at it again with their latest single, “Lightspeed,” off the band’s 6-song album Big Bang.

Now there’s a music video to accompany the patiently poppy track, and it features the band taking to the airwaves with mysterious masks and vintage aesthetics. Check out the video and get the chorus firmly embedded in your memory for the rest of the week.

Onstage with Jim and Tom continues to be one of the most entertaining musical series in the North Bay, a combination of interviews and performances that take place at the historic Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, hosted by Phoenix manager Tom Gaffey and music booker Jim Agius. Featuring an eclectic and talented array of North Bay musicians and bands, the video podcast always entertains.

Recent episode with rising indie pop stars Lungs and Limbs is no exception, and this week, Onstage shared a video of the band covering one of the greatest ’80s songs ever, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” by Tears for Fears. Watch the video above and marvel at the spot-on guitars by Nick Tudor, sultry vocals by Karina Rousseau and fuzzed-out backbeat by drummer Matt Power and bassist Chris Casey.

Help Lungs and Limbs Tour & Record New Album

Posted by: on Jan 12, 2016 | Comments (0)

We’ve been a big fan of Sonoma County indie pop outfit Lungs and Limbs for the better part of a year, following the four-piece electronic wiz kids as they built their own studio, self-recorded their debut EP, Lifelike, and self-released it last November.

Now, the band is trying to take things to the next level and looking for allies to help them reach it. Lungs and Limbs plan to tour extensively in 2016, taking their hook-laden rock to new locales; and they’re also looking to record a new album by year’s end, but they need your donations to get the show on the road.

For one more week, Lungs and Limbs is hosting an Indiegogo campaign where they’re offering swag and show tickets in exchange for a couple of bucks to get the band in gear. You can visit the page here. Lungs and Limbs’ next show is on Saturday, Jan 23, at HopMonk Tavern in Sebastopol, with Horses Heaven, Charley Peach, and Become The Villain.
