City Sound Interia is the Bohemian‘s music blog, covering bands, shows, records, music news and reviews from Sonoma County and beyond. Now comprised of Bohemian staff and contributors, CSI was founded and solely helmed from 2008–2012 by Bohemian editor Gabe Meline, who still edits and writes here pretty often.
City Sound Inertia has won three nationwide AAN Awards, in 2010, 2011 and 2012, for Best Music Blog.

I’ve played in Ground Round, Tilt, Mr. T Experience, Santiago and countless other bands and music projects, and have toured the country over ten times. I also self-published two zines in the early 1990s; Boy, Does High School Ever Suck and Positively 4th Street.
In addition to obsessing over records and going to shows, I love bike riding, making pizza, skateboarding, and researching local history. The first band I ever interviewed was Green Day, in 1991. I’m glad that I saw both Frank Sinatra and Mac Dre before they died. Oh, and Dave Van Ronk.
I worked at the Last Record Store in Santa Rosa for 14 years, from 1994-2008. I live downtown with my wonderful wife Liz, my beautiful baby girl Lena and our piles of records in the third-greatest city in the world, Santa Rosa, CA.
